Erica Gerson is a Partner at Steptoe & Johnson LLP (Steptoe), where she co-leads the firm’s Financial Services Investigations and Enforcement group. Erica joined Steptoe from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), where she served as an Associate Director in the National Cause and Financial Crimes Detection Program within Member Supervision. Previously, Erica was a Senior Counsel in FINRA’s Enforcement Department.

At Steptoe, Erica defends public companies, financial institutions and individuals in FINRA and U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission examination and enforcement matters, and in commercial disputes before courts and arbitration panels.  Erica also conducts internal investigations for financial services clients. 

Erica has a J.D. from American University Washington College of Law and a B.A. from the University of Maryland College Park.
