As the Sr. Director of Research Operations at CRSP, Marek spearheads a team of analysts dedicated to generating high-quality financial and economic data. Under his leadership, this data serves as a cornerstone for leading academic research organizations as well as key commercial and government institutions. Marek's role is pivotal in not only maintaining the integrity and reliability of these data products but also in driving the expansion of existing offerings and the development of groundbreaking new ones.

Before his tenure at CRSP, Marek spent over 15 years in Southeast Asia, where he gained extensive experience as a consultant in the financial industry. Notably, he worked with Eastspring Investments (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., the investment arm of Prudential plc in Singapore. His consultancy projects focused on optimization in order execution, strategic planning, and quantitative finance research, leading to significant advancements and efficiencies for his clients.

Marek holds an MSc in Financial Mathematics from the University of Chicago, where he also shared his expertise as a lecturer. Additionally, he earned a BS in Mathematics from Purdue University, further solidifying his strong foundation in quantitative analysis.
