Peter Gargone

Founder and CEO, n-Tier

Peter is the Founder and CEO of n‑Tier, an innovative financial technology company that couples deep industry expertise with a unique software platform that helps firms monitor and manage their regulatory reporting. Peter founded n-Tier in 2000 and designed the firm’s core product offerings of Compliance Workbench and Control Workbench. He specializes in solving complex and very large data challenges through technology.

Peter possesses a deep technology background covering development, software design, server optimization and networking. Prior to founding n-Tier, Peter served as DLJ’s Equity Division Head of Global Application Architecture and was responsible for identifying and designing common applications that could be used across business lines. Prior to that, Peter worked for Goldman Sachs on roles in New York, London, Zurich and Hong Kong. He began his career at IBM, where he worked on marketing and sales initiatives for universities in the Boston area.

Peter earned his B.A. in Computer Science from Boston University. He has won numerous awards throughout his career, including the Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette’s Super Achiever Award and Lane Jacob Award, DLJ’s award for the most promising young professional.
