Firms can better manage complex transformations by adopting a “readiness framework,” to proactively define, review, and challenge plans and deliverables critical to achieving program milestones and assess overall program risk based upon leading practices in successful large systems implementations. This approach gives transformation programs a better view of the full scope of activities and risks involved in the change initiative and help prepare in advance for regulatory scrutiny or when initiatives don’t go according to plan and third-party relationships need to be exited. In this paper, we examine how strategic operations transformations can be managed through a “readiness”lens to better achieve a success.
