Peter is a partner in Morgan Lewis’ securities enforcement and litigation practice area. Peter represents broker-dealers, financial services firms, and individuals in investigations and enforcement proceedings brought by the SEC, FINRA, and state regulators, and in arbitrations and civil litigations relating to securities issues. He also conducts internal investigations and counsels clients on a wide variety of enforcement, regulatory, and compliance issues, including registered mutual funds and their advisers and directors. Peter has been named as a Massachusetts Super Lawyer in securities litigation (2017-2020), and was previously named a securities litigation Rising Star (2011-2015). In 2001-2002, he served as law clerk to the Hon. Charles D. Gonthier at the Supreme Court of Canada. Following that, he was a lecturer at McGill’s University’s Faculty of Law. Peter has a law degree from the University of Oxford (Wadham College, 1999) and common law (LL.B) and civil law (B.C.L) degrees from McGill Law (2001).
