Bret Dooley

Bret is a partner and Deputy Chief Accountant in PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP’s (“PwC’s”) National Office, focusing on accounting and financial reporting issues relating to financial instruments and the financial services industry. He assists engagement teams and clients in resolving complex accounting matters, develops the firm’s interpretive guidance and contributes to thought leadership on emerging accounting issues.

Previously, Bret was the Director of Accounting Policy and SEC Reporting at JPMorgan Chase and the controller of its primary bank subsidiary. He led teams that established accounting and disclosure policies for the firm under US GAAP and IFRS, coordinated the review and publication of the Firm’s consolidated financial statements, and interfaced globally with standard-setters and regulators on accounting and reporting matters.

Bret is an established leader in the accounting profession, including as a member of the FASB’s Emerging Issues Task Force, the AICPA Depository Institution Expert Panel and various other accounting committees and organizations.
