Jay Klein joined PwC in 2016 as a Principal in the tax asset management, banking, and capital markets practices. Jay is the Asset & Wealth Management financial products tax leader and advises funds and financial institutions on the taxation of financial products and related issues.

Jay formerly worked at Morgan Stanley as an Executive Director and as a member of the tax department at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.

He has over twelve years of experience in the Financial Services industry. Jay has comprehensive expertise in taxation of financial products.  In his tenure at PwC, Jay has led global tax implementation projects at international banks, formulated numerous compliance solutions that leverage technology and interface with the systems of withholding agents, assisted many funds in creating policies and controls to facilitate compliance with 1446(f), 871(m), 305(c) and other tax requirements, and has advised banks, funds and similar clients on a variety of complex financial product tax issues.
