Jonathan Firester is a New York-based Managing Director in the Capital Markets Consulting Practice at EY, where he leads the Front Office / Strategy offerings. Jon leads engagements to support clients in designing, building, and transforming capital markets businesses, often based on industry strategic opportunities, disruptive technologies and/or resource and cost efficiencies. Jon has over 30 years of financial services experience, both in management consulting and industry operating roles, including in electronic trading, prime brokerage, operations, technology, finance, regulatory, and risk management. Before joining EY in 2014, Jon managed the Equities portfolio at a $500+ million quantitative hedge fund. Prior to that, Jon was the Global Business Manager for Prime Brokerage at a top-tier investment bank. Before that, Jon led the Strategy Group for the Global Equities Division of a leading bank. Jon graduated from Harvard University with a degree in Abstract Mathematics.
