Assurance Partner, RSM US

Kate is an assurance partner at RSM US LLP with more than 17 years of experience related to public accounting industry, primarily focused in the financial services sector. Kate has experience with a variety of industry participants, including broker-dealers, futures commission merchants, business development companies, private equity funds, venture capital funds, hedge funds and commodity pools. Kate is responsible for serving clients, developing the firm’s financial services audit methodology, and providing consultations and quality reviews for engagement teams. Kate is also the Capital Markets Audit Technical Leader.

Kate is active in diversity and inclusion initiatives. She is the national leader of RSM’s STAR group (Stewardship, Teamwork, Advancement and Retention of women).  Until recently, she served as the national leader of InspirAsian, RSM’s Asian employee network group. At RSM, she also leads the Great Lake’s women in private equity initiative. She is a board member of the Midwest Chapter of ASCEND, the nation’s largest Pan-Asian business professional organization. Kate is also a member of the Chicago Finance Exchange and Council of Korean Americans.

Kate received her BA and MS in Accountancy from University of Illinois-Champaign and is a certified public accountant.
