Zarema A. Jaramillo is managing partner of Lowenstein Sandler’s rapidly growing D.C office. With over 20 years of regulatory experience, Zarema draws on her extensive knowledge of the U.S. government to counsel financial services, technology, energy, and life science companies as they navigate the ever-shifting waters of antitrust and international trade laws and policies.

Zarema began her legal career in the government as an international trade specialist in the Commerce Department’s Office of China. She later went on to serve as an Acting Director of its Corporate Governance Program in the Office of Russia.

Currently, Zarema focuses her practice on complex antitrust matters, government investigations, and regulatory compliance. She represents and counsels a broad array of clients on enforcement matters before state and federal agencies, competition issues, and compliance with U.S. and foreign anti-bribery, anti-corruption, and trade regulations. Her work with financial institutions and their executives centers on securities class actions and investigations by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, the U.S. Department of Justice, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and the Treasury Department.
